Jensen and Angus, Melissa, and Rob, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Barbara’s passing! I taught with Barb at MCHS during the last years of her teaching career. So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She was a great sewing teacher and had the patience of a saint to put up with us! She is the reason I know how to sew a button!
I remember her as a beautiful and graceful woman who never was flustered by the shenanigans in her class. She had a way of challenging us to be better simply by her kind example. May she rest in peace.
Melissa and family, sorry for your loss. Your Mom was my Home Economics teacher. She was so nice and I learned a lot from her. I was your babysitter for years. Your Grandma Gretch would bring you home from school and I would be there. I sure enjoyed you. The Young family and the Kennedy (my Mom's maiden name) family have been friends for years. May your memories comfort you.
My condolences to the family. Barb was my Home Ec teacher in her first year of teaching! She was a great teacher and lots of fun. I got reacquainted with her on a different level years later when her mother lived at Mallards Landing. I’m sorry for your loss.
