I had the privilege of working with Alan, "The King of pit 17" at MGM for the last 8 years. Alan was thoughtful, cheerful, funny, genuine and always a gentelman.
He never missed an opportunity to ask about my little girl, how I was feeling (last time I saw Alan I was 8 1/2 months pregnant) or about how things were in 'good ol' Algonac'.
I am so sorry I was unable to make the memorial service for Alan. His infectious laugh and his larger than life bravado, and his genuine thoughfullness made me feel that he was more than just a co-worker. Alan was such a wonderful man. I certainly wanted to honor him by paying my respects to him and his family, whom he often bragged about.
To Alan's family, my heart aches for your loss. He was so very proud of his family! Thank you for sharing this wonderful man with us. I am a better person for having known him. He will be truely missed!##imported-begin##Tracy Carnahan-Wilson##imported-end##
