Mrs. Wilma Jean Murphy's Obituary
Wilma Jean Murphy, age 79, of Marysville, passed peacefully at home on August 19, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Cecil and Jocie Wattle on October 6, 1934. Wilma spent her summers in Lewiston, Michigan and her winters in South Florida, doing what she loved most; fishing, playing cards, playing bingo and dancing. She had a passion for Southern cooking and collecting cook books.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years John (Jim) Murphy. She was the dear mother of; Kevin (Terry) Murphy, Ken (Lori) Murphy, Tim (Gloria) Murphy, Katherine Claerhout and Dan (Denise) Murphy. The proud grandmother of; Rich, Becky, Patrick, Adam, T.J., Troy, Susan, Karlie, Dana, Alina, Misty and Kristy. The great grandmother of ten and the loving sister of Victoria, Glynn, Lynn, Alice, Allen and the late Betty and late Jerry Ann. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Monday August 25th at 12:30 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Following the service a luncheon will be at the Southeastern Michigan Conservation Club.
