William "Bill" Eggert's Obituary
William “Bill” Eggert, age 67, of Columbus, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on May 28, 2025. He was born on June 17, 1957, to the late Robert and Betty Eggert. Bill married the love of his life, Brenda Smith on July 16, 1983. Despite his extensive medical history, he lived life on his own terms. Bill loved fishing, camping, bon-fires, going for a long cruise and spending time with his family. In 2003, Bill and Brenda bought their “little slice of heaven” in the country, where he loved spending his days. He enjoyed the simple moments like watching his granddaughters play in the creek, going for an adventure in the woods, and hanging out on the patio for a cookout.
Bill is survived by his wife Brenda; daughter, Lisa (Chris) Badger; granddaughters, Kadie and Allison; son, William “Billy” Eggert; grandchildren, Brenden and Alice; brother, Thomas Eggert; sisters, Judy Cook, Sam (Dove) Levine; brothers-in-law, Greg Smith, David (Sandy) Smith, as well as several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty; brother, Robert Jr.
