William "Dennis" Daniels' Obituary
William "Dennis" Daniels, age 72, of St. Clair, passed away October 10, 2017 at home with his family, following a long illness. He was born August 13, 1945 in Duluth, Minnesota. Dennis was a long time area resident and graduated from Marine City High School in 1963. Dennis retired from East China School District in 2006. He was a member of the K of C Council #2251, St. Clair and a lifetime member of Perch Point Conservation Club. He was a MHSAA official for many years. Dennis was an avid hunter and fisherman for many years and most recently took up the game of golf, which he thoroughly enjoyed, along with many other outdoor activities. Above all his favorite pastime was his time shared with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Nancy Daniels; children, William (Kelly) Daniels, Dennis (Michelle) Daniels, and Katie (Derek) Greer; grandchildren, Alecia, Maya and Penelope Daniels, Kaylee, Mason and Reese Greer; mother, Molly Daniels; sister in law, Mary Daniels; siblings David and Jeff Daniels, Kerry (Shari) Daniels, Jackie (C.C.) Kendrick, and Dolly (Bill) Frizzle; brothers in law and sisters in law, Jerry and Mary Rose, Margie and Leslie Schroeder, Patty and Larry Havens, Mary Ann McClusky, Lori and John Hoover, Ginny and Scott Vistisen, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He in preceded in death by his father, Francis Elwood Daniels; brothers, Patrick and Michael Daniels and brother in law, Mike McClusky
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. With a rosary conducted at 7 pm. Additional visitation Monday 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to mass. Memorials are suggested to Lelito’s Legacy Foundation (www.lelitoslegacyfoundation.org).
