Wayne Huffman's Obituary
Wayne Huffman, age 72, of St. Clair, died peacefully in his home with his family at his side on January 3, 2011.
Born Loren Duane Huffman on April 4, 1938 in Lincoln, Mich. to the late Lorn and Iva Huffman. Wayne served with the U.S. Marine Corp from 1956 to 1959. On February 6, 1960 he married Margaret Smith, she preceded him in death on June 26, 1986. Wayne later married Mary Lou Smolinski on September 30, 1987.
Wayne was employed by Consumers Power for 34 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair, the Usher's Club, Knights of Columbus, St. Clair, St. Vincent DePaul, Mepway, and the Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Hoffman, children; Larry (Gail) Huffman, Phil (Jennifer) Huffman, Mike (Beth) Huffman, Chris (Tim) Heideman, Carol Ann McLaurin, and Michael Smolinski. Grandchildren; Adam, Jordan, Justin, Bradley (Deanna), Myles, Sarah, and Kevin Huffman. Brothers; John (Mary Lee) Huffman and Robert (Joyce) Harkins.
Funeral services will begin Friday at 10:15 at Young Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair.
Visiting hours are Thursday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home with a rosary at 8:30.
In leiu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Mary's School or St. Vincent DePaul.
