Wanda Victoria Raymo's Obituary
Wanda Victoria Raymo, our beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away January 19, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hamtramck, Mich. on March 21, 1925 to the late Maryan and Bernada (Jakubczyk) Janiszewski. When Wanda was a toddler, the family moved to the Smiths Creek area where she attended McCormick School, and in 1943 she graduated from Marysville High School.
Wanda was proud of her Polish heritage. Her father taught her to play the accordion at a very young age. Always with a smile, she enjoyed entertaining her family and friends with beautiful music. She often was seen playing at events with her longtime friend and accordionist Ted Pavlik. She belonged to the Marysville Knights of Columbus woman’s auxiliary and the Polka Boosters Club.
Wanda retired from St. John’s River District Hospital where she worked for 23 years, and she made lifelong friends over those years.
Wanda is survived by her daughters; Barbara (Tim) Kane and Gail (Michael) Ciborowski, sons; James (Patricia) Raymo, Ronald (Jean) Raymo, Thomas (Suzanne) Raymo, Daniel (Ed) Raymo and Randy (Carrie) Raymo, 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother; Joseph Janiszewski and sister; Regina Sentfleben and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Kathleen and sisters; Charlotte Augustyn and Mary Toth.

Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held Saturday January 24th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair to celebrate Wanda’s life. The family will receive visitors at the church Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to mass. Memorials are suggested to Reverence Hospice.
