Walter L. Dunn's Obituary
Walter L. Dunn, age 89, of Marine City, died November 28, 2011. He was born January 13, 1922 in Hammond, Indiana. Walter is a World War II veteran, serving with the U. S. Navy and Merchant Marine. Post WWII he worked for Ford Motor Co. and later owned and operated Belle River Marina in Marine City for 37 years. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Marine City Council #856 and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife; Marilynn Dunn, children; Patrick, Paula, Marilynn, and Ryan Dunn, grandchildren; Jaxon and Vivian Dunn and Beau Biland.
He was predeceased by a son Michael Dunn and sister; Frances DeKroub. Funeral services will be conducted Friday Dec. 2nd at 12:00 noon at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visiting hours are Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Friday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to mass. A rosary will be said at the church Friday before mass at 11:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. www.youngcolonial.com
