Mr. Walter F. Nawracaj's Obituary
Walter F. Nawracaj, age 101, of St.Clair, passed away November 23, 2014. He was born to the late Albert and Anna Nawracaj on June 16, 1913 in Detroit. He married Adeline Ozana on May 27, 1937 in Hamtramck. She preceded him in death on August 23, 1998. He enjoyed many sports including; golf, bowling, baseball and fishing with his friends.
He owned Boley's Cafe in Hamtramck for 16 years. He is survived by his children; Elaine Wolfe and Susan Knirk. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Christopher (Erin) Knirk, David (Laura Totten) Knirk, Chip Wolfe, Margo Staley, and Melinda (Tony) Fiore, great-grandchildren; Avery Knirk, Audrey Knirk, Danielle Brown, Charles Denham, Hana Fiore, and Anthony Fiore, great-great grandchildren; Mya Denham, Joel Denham, and Cameron King and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by ; two sisters and six brothers and son in-law; Carl Knirk.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting will be from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the mass. Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp. www.youngcolonial.com
