Walter M. Harrison's Obituary
Walter Martin Harrison, age 97, of Marysville, was welcomed into heaven on Friday, September 30, 2016.
Walter was born to Walter and Evelyn Harrison in Manchester, New Hampshire on September 13, 1919.
He entered the U.S. Navy in 1942 serving during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1948. He married Betty Jean Kurth in Detroit, MI on May 5, 1947. He operated his own business, L & E Steel Rule Dies through most of his career and moved to St. Clair in preparation for retirement. Walter faithfully served the Lord throughout his life and assisted in many capacities at both Peace Lutheran Church, Detroit and Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair.
He leaves behind his wife of 69 years, Betty Jean, daughter; Lynne (Larry) Saathoff, son; Erick (Kathleen) ; and grandson Kevin (Lorrie) Harrison.
Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 8 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the service.
