Mr. Walter G. Erbert's Obituary
Walter G. Erbert, age 77, of Marine City, died August 17, 2012. He was born March 16, 1935 in Detroit. On September 9, 1961 Walter married Shirley Witt in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Detroit.
Walter retired from Michigan Bell Telephone following 23 years of employment. He became a Master Gardener and then went to St. Clair Community College and earned his Horticulture Certificate.
Walter is survived by his wife of 50 years Shirley Erbert. He is also the loving father of David (Cheryl) Erbert, Daniel Erbert and Joyanne (Steve) Pittiglio and cherished grandfather of Hope, Caleb, Nathaniel, Enoch, Amanda, Toby and Matthew.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday August 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
