Wallace W. Beier's Obituary
Wallace W. Beier, age 91, of China Township, died peacefully in the home in which he was born on May 8, 2010. He was born September 6, 1918 in China Township to the late William and Lillian Beier.
Married October 7, 1950 in Marine City to Marjorie Hedt. Wallace was a lifetime area farmer and retired from St. Clair County Road Commission after 18 years of employment. He was also a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Peters.
Mr. Beier is survived by his wife; Marjorie Beier. Children; Beverly Beier of Quincy, Bernard (Sandra) Beier of China Township, Donna Beier of Casco, and Diane Tipper of Marine City. Grandchildren; Jennifer Beier, Nicholas and Michael Tipper, Steve (Tamara) Barnes, Fely (Chris) Butler. Great-grandchildren; Addison and Anderson Barnes. Brother; Raymond Beier. Preceded in death by his brothers Leonard, Edmund, and Bernard Beier and his parents.
Interment services will be held at 10am at Hillside Cemetery and Funeral Services will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Casco Township at 11am. Visitation at Young Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6-9pm and Wednesday 2-8pm. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or St. John’s Hospice.
