Mrs. Vivian (Minor) Caufield's Obituary
Vivian Ruth (Minor) Caufield, age 88, of Marine City, died November 19, 2014. Vivian was born August 13, 1926 in Royal Oak to the late Alexander and Lilly Blainey. She married Richard Minor on April 16, 1945. He preceded her in death September 10, 1963.
Vivian’s first love was always her family. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafts, quilting, walks and photography. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and was an active member of St. Mark’s and St. Paul’s Episcopal Churchs. Vivian also enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events for many years.
She is survived by her daughters; Cheri (Bill) Musial, Terry (Tom) Filo and JoAnn (Lynn) Watson and son, Richard Minor. Grandchildren; Bill (Cheryl) Musial, Bonnie (Tom) Jones, Tracey Filo, Jason (Heather) Filo, Lindsey (Aaron) Shovan, Ashley (Travis) Lusko and Karli Minor. Great grandchildren, Cole and Zach Musial, Morgan Jones, Aiden Shovan, Alicia DeRue, Cole Vogel and soon to be Emmie Lusko. In addition to her husband she is also preceded in death by daughters, Bonnie Minor (1962) and Diane (Minor) Miller (2005) and siblings Shirley Prevo, Bob Blainey, Joan Potter and Audrey Sturgis.
Funeral services will be Monday November 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
