Virginia Vito's Obituary
Virginia Vito, age 86, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on May 17, 2016. She was born July 19, 1929 in Posen, Michigan to the late Joseph and Martha Dehring.
Virginia married Anthony Vito on May 26, 1951 in Detroit. He preceded her in death in 2010. Virginia was a dedicated mother and grandmother whom loved baking and sewing. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair.
Virginia is survived by her children; Kathleen (Arnold) Chickonoski, Joseph (Bonnie) Vito, Jane (Paul) Distelrath and Paula (Mark) Adams, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Ceclia and brothers, Harry, Raymond and Al.
The family deeply appreciates and thanks the staff at Regency on the Lake for their dedicated care, support and comfort given to their mother and grandmother.
Mass of Resurrection will be Friday May 20th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Thursday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. with a rosary recital at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation Friday at church 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to mass. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
