Violet "Vi" Marie Costa's Obituary
Violet “Vi” Marie Costa, age 83, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully April 26, 2021. She was born February 3, 1938 in St. Clair to the late Vincent and Elizabeth Borowski. Vi spent her working years in the family restaurant business in both Massachusetts and Florida, before retiring back to St. Clair in 2005.
Vi volunteered at Ascension River District Hospital from 2009 - 2017 and was volunteer of the year in 2016. She was a very loving and caring soul. Vi enjoyed reading and every year would spend 5 - 6 weeks in Florida with her son. Most of all Vi enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Costa; son, T.J. Costa of Port Orange, FL; grandchildren, Nicholas, Carley, AJ, Jimmy, Jesse, Jordan; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Theodore (Kay) Borowski, Dave Borowski; sister, Elizabeth Ann Donaghue; brother-in-law, Robert Burby; daughter-in-law, Bonnie; along with several nieces and nephews.
Vi is preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Vincent Costa, granddaughter Meghan; brother Victor Borowski; sisters, Mary Ernst and Sandy Burby; daughter-in-law Karen Costa.
