Violet Baumgarten's Obituary
Violet N. Baumgarten "Mimi", age 89, of Casco Twp., died April 23, 2011. She was born December 21, 1921 in Marine City to the late Ralph and Lillian Lindow. On February 7, 1942 Violet married Warren Baumgarten in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Peters. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2009.
Violet worked for the East China School District as a baker. She and her husband enjoyed camping and loved babysitting their grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a huge Elvis fan.
Violet is survived by her children; Bonnie (Robert) Johnson, Bob (Rose) Baumgarten, and Jeanie (Bill) Kean, six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, a brother Melburn Lindow and sister Luella Muhlitner, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 27th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Casco Twp. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to services. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
