Mr. Vernon W. Wells' Obituary
Vernon W. Wells, age 89, of St. Clair, died April 19, 2014. He was born May 31, 1924 in Lachine, Quebec.
Vernon married Leila Houghton on May 31, 1952 in Lachine.
He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and England during World War II. Mr. Wells retired from the General Motors Tech Center in Warren and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, St. Clair.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Leila Wells, loving daughters and sons in law, Sandy and Ted Sladowski and Valerie and Mark Jacobson and 3 cherished grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Geoffery Wells in 1994. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Clair. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul’s Church or the charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
