Valerie Jean Winslow (Burden)'s Obituary
Valerie Jean Winslow (Burden) age 72, of Marine City, formerly of Attica, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023 with her daughter by her side.
She was born on June 1, 1951 in Mount Clemens to the late Raymond Sr. and Shirley (Collins) Burden.
Valerie worked as a manager for Macomb Family Services for several years. She most recently worked as an office manager for Maple Landscaping for over 10 years, retiring in 2022.
Valerie loved being a grandmother, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She also was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting flowers around her house.
She is survived by her children, Carl McIntire Jr, Angela Muxlow, Jennifer (David) Vandenbossche; grandchildren, Daniel Vandenbossche, Taylar, Nikolas, and Lauren Muxlow, Jacquelyn (Bryan) Donalson, Melissa McIntire; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Robin (Frank) Doyle, Scott (Cheryl) Burden.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Karen Frick, Terry Burden, Raymond Burden Jr., Kelly Burden.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be Thursday July 20th from 3:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Marine City Fire Department.
