Timothy G. Wegmeyer's Obituary
Timothy G. Wegmeyer, age 67, of East China, went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2026. He peacefully passed in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by family. Tim was born on April 12, 1958 to the late Glenn and Lucille Wegmeyer. He graduated from Finney High School, class of 1976. He went on to Oakland University where he obtained his Bachelors Degree. Following his time at Oakland, Tim earned his Doctorate from Michigan State University. Tim served his community as an attorney since 1984. Assisting clients with integrity, wisdom and compassion throughout his career. He was proud to be a devoted servant of the Lord. Tim was an active and faithful member of Crossroads Community Church, China Twp. He enjoyed being apart of the church community and providing a helping hand whenever it was needed. Tim was an outdoorsman, who was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also took part in 4H for 26 years. Tim’s devotion, faith, commitment, and generous soul, will be missed by all of those who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Tyler (son, Aiden) Wegmeyer, Nicholas (children, Ariah, Adelyn, Ella, Elijah) Wegmeyer, Tara (John) (children, Jayden, Kai) Simonian; brothers, Thomas (Judy) Wegmeyer, Mark (Kimberly) Wegmeyer, as well as several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by, Debra Slanec and Gale Moore.
A funeral service will take place Monday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church, China Twp. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 15th from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. There will also be visiting from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions will be used for the wishes of the family. Where the Wegmeyer’s can honor Tim in multiple facets by donating to various organizations. Those who are unable to attend the funeral service for Tim are welcome to attend the live stream.
