Thomas J. Weingartz's Obituary
Thomas J. Weingartz, age 82, of St.Clair passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19th, 2015. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Agnes A. Weingartz. He was born in Centerline, MI. Thomas served in the medical corp at Fitzsimmons Hospital in Colorado during the Korean War where he met Agnes. They returned to Michigan and built a home in St. Clair where they raised their wonderful family.
Thomas his survived by his nine children; Barbara Grewe of Calendonia, Mary Mieksztyn of Richmond, Patricia McDonald (Kevin) of St. Clair, Cynthia Steinberg (Robert) of Northville, Carol Furuta (Clyde) of New Baltimore, Mark Weingartz (Beverly) of St. Clair, Steven Weingartz of St. Clair, Joanne Randolph (John "Chris") of Plymouth, Kenneth Weingartz (Cheri) of Smiths Creek. He is also survived by his 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st from 2 PM to 8 PM, with a rosary at 7pm at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and again Thursday at noon at St Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair on 415 N 6th St. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 pm.
