Thomas L. Platzer's Obituary
Thomas L. Platzer, age 80, of China Twp., passed away September 14, 2022. He was born May 30, 1942. On July 4, 1964 Tom married Sharon Shaw in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair.
Tom was employed 34 years for the Detroit Edison retiring in 2002. He was an avid motorcyclist that enjoyed his many trips down south. Tom enjoyed 20 years of retirement with his family. One of his favorite past times was riding his Mule around his “Ponderosa”.
Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon Platzer; son, Tommy Platzer; daughter, Tami (Steve) Cloutier; grandchildren, Morgan (Travis) Schrieber and Jenna Cloutier; great grandchildren, Paisley and Brady Schrieber; In laws, Mike and Connie Standen, Bob and Laura Shaw and Carol Horton, many nieces and one nephew. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Mary Platzer.
Private family services have been conducted with interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Clair. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of St. Clair County SNAP, 6177 Fred Moore Hwy., China Twp., MI 48054.
