Mr. Thomas J. Heyser's Obituary
Thomas J. Heyser, age 77, of Marine City, died December 23, 2014. Tom was born June 10, 1937 in Battle Creek to the late Phillip and Genevieve Heyser. He was a graduate of the Class of 1955 from Marine City High School. Tom worked on the Great Lakes for eight years sailing with the Interlake Steamship Co. and later for over 26 years as a Detroit Police Officer.
Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting at his cottage on West Twin Lake in Lewiston and also with his old friends after returning back to Marine City following his retirement. He also an avid Spartan fan. He loved to watch and talk about Michigan State sports teams.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy (Stephenson) Heyser, children, Michael (Denise) Heyser, Kathy Heyser (Jim Fry) and Allison Heyser, one grandson and two great grandchildren, brother, Doug (Jeanette) Heyser, sister, Sally Davenport, brothers in law and sisters in law, Betty Younkins, David and Marge Stephenson, Michelle and Gary Herbst and Jerri Stephenson.
