Thomas Parley Fisher's Obituary
Thomas Parley Fisher, age 83, of Marine City, formerly of Algonac, passed away at home on August 20, 2022. He was born July 1, 1939 to the late Adelbert and Francis Fisher. Thomas proudly served his country for 3 years in the United States Army. He married Brenda Beattie on May 4, 1963. Thomas worked as a machinist for over 40 years. He was a longtime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Marine City. Thomas was the jack of all trades. There was nothing he couldn’t fix or build. Even after his retirement, he would find new projects to work on. He loved working in his at home garage shop. He made horse carriages, worked on his old cars, tractors, built furniture, as well as repair various objects around the house. His work ethic and pride in his final product is why he continued to work on these projects at 83 years of age.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Brenda; children, Brian Fisher, Ken (Cheryl) Fisher, Mike (Connie) Fisher; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Forrest, Avis Loomis, Judy Gendron, as well as several other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, William Fisher.
