Thomas Wesley Browning's Obituary
Thomas Wesley Browning, 73, of Marine City, died on Tuesday, October 31st.
Browning was born April 19, 1950, and was the youngest of three sons of Donald and Nancy (Folkert) Browning of Marine City. A graduate of Holy Cross High, he also attended Eastern Michigan University. Browning was a carpenter by trade and worked for the Detroit Newspaper Media Partnership for 23 years and a member of the Michigan Regional Council Of Carpenters And Millwrights, Local 687.
During retirement, he enjoyed fishing in the Saint Clair River, swimming at Cherry Beach, walking his faithful dog Winston and gardening. He also worked on many small repair and carpentry projects for loved ones and neighbors alike. He enjoyed movies, reading, theater and spending time with his family, especially his two sons who he proudly loved.
Browning was the widower of Mary (Buslepp) Browning, who died on January 18, 2016. He leaves behind his son Robert of Marine City, his son Jonathan (Jacqueline) and his step-granddaughter, Samantha, all of Marlborough, MA; his brother, Dennis (Marilyn) of East China Township, sister-in-law Suzanne Mahoney of Marine City, sister-in-law Elizabeth Kloock (Gary) of Shelby Township, brother-in-law William Buslepp, Jr. (Sheila) of Burlington, Ontario, brother-in-law Richard Buslepp (Mary Ann) of East China Township and sister-in-law Lisa Higgins (Paul) of East China. He also leaves behind 16 nieces and nephews, their spouses, and many great nieces and great nephews. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother Paul, sister-in-law Helen and nephew Kevin.
Cremation arrangements have taken place with Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A memorial mass will take place on Tuesday, November 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City.
