Susanne Lydia Pape's Obituary
Susanne Lydia Pape of Casco passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026 at the age of 81. She was born in Detroit on December 27, 1944 to the late Milton and Addelide Albee.
Susanne found joy in the comforts of home, often spending her days alongside her beloved dog Princess. She enjoyed watching old black and white musicals, frequently singing and humming along. She enjoyed word searches and making crafts that she would sell at local markets. She also had a natural gift for making people laugh. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and was known as a “mother to all,” offering love and care to anyone who needed it.
Susanne is survived by her children Ione (Charles) Dawe, Shawna (Charles) DeCaussin, David (Kimberly) Pape and Pete Widmer; grandchildren Devin (Ashley), Ione, Derrick, Max, Brittany, Scott, Troy, Luke, Justin, Grace and Alex; great grandchildren Stephan and Oakley; sister Ione (Rodey) Dahl. Preceded in death by her parents Milton and Addelide Albee; daughter Nikol Pape; granddaughters Nicole and Mikayla.
