Susan Jennifer Gorniak's Obituary
Susan Jennifer Gorniak, age 54, of Casco Twp., formerly of Harper Woods, passed away suddenly on October 23, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1970 to Giles “Guy” and Carole Foremski. Susan was a graduate of Harper Woods High School, class of 1988. She married Robert Gorniak on October 1, 1993. Susan worked as an administrative assistant for Aggarwal and Associates in Warren for 30 years. However, her true passion in life was her family. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. When their children were younger, Susan and Robert would take them traveling, including camping trips to various state parks around Michigan. She never missed an extracurricular event. From sporting events for her sons, to more recent dance recitals and flag football games for her grandchildren. Susan was the ultimate caregiver, who always put other peoples needs before her own. She took great pride in caring for her family. Her selflessness, love, compassion, and fandom of Bon Jovi were second to none. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gorniak; children, Joey (Julie) Gorniak, Danny (Cheyenne) Gorniak, Devin Gorniak; grandchildren, Stella and Colton Gorniak; parents, Giles “Guy” (Carole) Foremski; brother, Dennis Foremski; sisters-in-law, Cathy Rosaasen, Lisa Grosch; nieces and nephews, Michael, Connor, Dana, Jimmy, Robert, Jenna, Justin, Jason; as well as several other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 27th at 2:00 p.m. Visiting hours will be on Saturday, October 26th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. as well as 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service.
