Stephen Mark Zacharias

Stephen Mark Zacharias (56) of Marysville, MI passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was born in 1966 in East China to the late Dorothy and Richard Zacharias. Steve grew up in Saint Clair and graduated from Saint Clair High School in 1985. He went on to graduate from Walsh College with a degree in business. He married Renee Gilleran in 1999 and moved to Marysville, MI where he and Renee raised their son Nolan (now 15). Steve worked in sales at McCausey Specialty Products in Roseville since 2012. Outside of work, he was a dedicated and proud father, loyal husband, and true-blue friend. He loved most sports but got particular enjoyment out of cheering on his son’s sports teams, going on annual fishing trips with his dear childhood friend, and being a tirelessly loyal fan of Michigan football. If you knew him well, you know he always had a project going at his house and truly enjoyed working alongside his close friends to get the job done and have some fun along the way. Steve was known for his genuine and kindhearted nature. He was always thoughtful and supportive of others and looked for the humor in life’s everyday moments. Steve is survived by his wife Renee (Gilleran), son Nolan, and Finnegan the family dog. He is also survived by his six siblings: Mary (Matt) Gasior, Dan (Mary) Zacharias, Beth (Chase) Edmonson, Tim (Marie) Zacharias, Tina (Randy) Gross, and Jane (Shane) Standley. He is also survived by in-laws Mike and Cathleen Gilleran, Michele (Gilleran) and Scott Porterfield, and several nieces, nephews and friends. We share a heartfelt thank you to all of the dear friends and family who have shown their love and support in so many ways. Your presence is deeply felt and truly appreciated.
