Stacey Marie Tranter (nee) Flagler's Obituary
Stacey Marie Tranter (neé Flagler), 58, of Oakland Township, Michigan, passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023.
Born August 19th, 1965, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, the daughter of Mary Lou Flagler and the late Harley Flagler. Stacey and her three siblings spent their childhood in Grosse Pointe Farms spending summers down at the Farms Pier with neighborhood friends.
Stacey graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School and went on to earn a cosmetology certificate from Sybil Beauty School in Detroit. Early on, she worked at Tresses hair salon in Grosse Pointe’s Village. After moving to Ohio with her family in 2006, Stacey leveraged her love of interior design into a successful visual merchandising retail career.
In her free time, Stacey enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, reading a good book with a glass of wine, and most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her three siblings, Frank (May), Sandra, Harley (Jennifer), and her three children, Rebecca, Jack, and Elizabeth.
Stacey will be remembered for her ability to light up a room, her intense love of her family and friends, and her zest for life. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all that were fortunate enough to know and love her.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18th at Young Funeral Home in East China, Michigan from 11 AM – 3 PM with a service from 3 PM – 4 PM onsite. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
