Sandra "Sandy" Shumate's Obituary
Sandra “Sandy” Shumate, age 65, of China Twp., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25th. She was born in Mount Clemens on February 14, 1956 to the late Harold and Arlene Shumate. Sandy graduated from Marine City High School in 1974. She proudly served her country in the United States Navy for 24 years. Sandy was a member of Crossroads Community Church, where she enjoyed assisting in the food drives the church put on. In her spare time, Sandy was an avid gardener, she loved working in her vegetable garden.
She is survived by her siblings, Carol (Bill) Laske, Harold (Mary Lou) Shumate Jr., Sue (Mark) Tews, as well as several nieces and nephews.
