Samantha "Sammy" Lee Daniel's Obituary
Samantha “Sammy” Lee Daniel, age 57, of Marine City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, January 24, 2022. She was born December 1, 1964 in Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois to Charles and Barbara Daniel.
Sammy attended Woodland Developmental Center for 20 years and then participated at Community Enterprises for many years. She was an avid dog lover who also enjoyed doing puzzles and camping. Sammy’s greatest enjoyment came when getting together and going out with family and special friends. She loved her nieces and nephews and they were always a special part of her life. Sammy was one of a kind. So sweet and loving. Always wanted to help with any and everything. Never hurt anyone just loved her family unconditionally. We will miss her soft voice and sweet smile. She is running and dancing with Jesus in a flawless body now with her daddy at her side. The Earth has a void but heaven is now enriched with her love.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Daniel; siblings, Mick (Marnie) Daniel, Christine (Joseph) Quandt, Jamie (Tom) Kaminski, Chuck (Brenda) Daniel, Shawna (Chris) Couwlier and Jason (Jennifer) Daniel; nieces and nephews, Mitch (Emily), Mac (Kylie) Daniel, Marlee (Reid) Warner, Joey, Kyle, Trevor, Ryan, Jake Quandt, Kelsey (Jake) Williams, Erica and Tommy Kaminski, Charlie, Nate and Riley Daniel, Mackenzie and Chloe Couwlier, Adriana Kuffa, Adam, Aubree and Savannah Daniel; special Aunts and Uncles, Connie and Joe Young, Ruthann Richie, John and Jennie DeRue, David and Karen DeRue, Kathy and Keith Liebetreu, Jerry and Jody DeRue, Don and Brenda DeRue, Jim and Dawn DeRue, Teri and Tim Weber, Tina and Nick Heydens, Sue and Jeff Paul, Penny DeRue, Arlene Bennett and many cousins and special friends, Tamara Howes, Dawn and Cindy Gilbert; her beloved dogs, Peaches, Max, Lou and Oliver.
Sammy was predeceased by her father Charles Daniel; grandparents, Charles and Louise Daniel and Filman and Leona DeRue; Uncles Rick DeRue, John Richie and Bill Bennett and cousins, Kurt, Scotty and James.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Sammy's life will be held Saturday May 14th at the Marine City Lions Club from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a eulogy and sharing of special remembrances at 3:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
