Salvatore "Sam" Conigliaro's Obituary
Salvatore “Sam” Conigliaro, age 73, or St. Clair, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by family in the comfort of his own home on March 29, 2025. He was born May 2, 1951, in Detroit to the late Joseph and Sara Conigliaro. Sam married the love of his life Carol Frederick on September 12, 1980, in Clinton Twp. He had a 40+ year long career as a texturing technologist with Tenibac retiring in 2012.
Sam loved being on the water whether it was on the St. Clair River or up north at Houghton Lake fishing or boating, he also enjoyed woodworking, making his own fishing lures and teaching friends how to make lures and fish the St. Clair River. Sam was also a handy man who would always help out any friend or neighbor who needed something fixed. He enjoyed trail riding and camping with his wife Carol and he also took pride in coaching his son’s hockey and roller hockey teams.
Sam is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol; children, Eric Conigliaro, Nicole (Marco DiStefano) Conigliaro; siblings, Marie (Harvey) Hill, John (Patty) Conigliaro, Phil (Denise) Conigliaro, Pauline (Scott) Casas; Many nieces and nephews; some of his best friends, Tim, Tom, Edgar, Jim, Steve along with many others and grand dog Milo.
A visitation will take place on Thursday April 3, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to wishes of the family. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
