Sally Ann (Kendall) Arnold's Obituary
Sally Ann (Kendall) Arnold, age 83, of East China Twp. was born January 27th, 1941. Sally was raised in Dearborn, graduating from Dearborn High in 1957.
After high school, Sally became a hairdresser and moved to Marine City with a good friend into a house with a salon built in the basement. She met Gary Arnold (on blind date) and they were married 6 weeks later.
Sally finally found her passion in nursing, after being pushed by her husband to pursue what made her happy. Working midnights so she could be around for all her kids events, she found her calling in home health care in late 1980s. After working for many other agencies, she finally fulfilled her dreams and opened her own agency in 2010. ABF was ran the way homecare should be, care for all no matter how young/old or what insurance they had.
Sally worked, gained her masters, taught nursing at Baker and helped take care of her grandchildren throughout her lengthy nursing career. She was a family matriarch and treated all friends and family with tough love. She influenced many nurses and therapists during her lengthy career. She left a mark on everyone she met.
After a 20 plus year fight against breast cancer Sally relinquished to be reunited with her husband, Gary, on May 28th, 2024.
She is survived by her sister, Coleen Kendall, brother David Kendall, favorite sisters in law, Barb Biebeau & Barb Fisher.
Son, David (Julie) Arnold, daughter, Sarah (Herb) Blackstock. Grandchildren, Rachel Arnold, Max (Emily) & Ian Blackstock; nephew, Colin (Robyn) Kendall and many other nieces, nephews and family.
A graveside committal service will be held for both Sally and Gary Arnold on Wednesday, July 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Rosehill Cemetery, East China Township.
