Ruth Ellen LaVigne's Obituary
Ruth E. LaVigne, age 88, of China Twp., died June 9, 2013. She was born November 7, 1924 in China Township to the late William and Marion Curtis. She is predeceased by her husband of 70 years Erwin Lavigne.
Ruth is survived by her children; Gary LaVigne and Carol LaVigne, grandchildren; Lisa, Michelle, Theodore, Steven and Andrew, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, brothers; Donald (Charlotte) Curtis, Bill (Pat) Curtis, and Arthur Curtis, sister; Mary Walczak, sisters in law; Elverna "Tiny" Liebetreu and Sandy LaVigne and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Allan LaVigne, brothers; Robert and Jim Curtis and brothers in law; Jack and Alvin LaVigne.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Rev. Rob Hunter will officiate. The organist will be Denise Gregg. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 at Young Funeral Home.
