Mrs. Ruth Anne Kammer's Obituary
Ruth Anne Kammer, age 82, of St. Clair, went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 26 with her family by her side. She was born October 1, 1931 in Marine City to the late Edgar and Annabelle Thoms.
She married Gerald Kammer on April 29, 1950 in Casco Twp. He preceded her in death in 2003.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, St.Clair for 60 years and served with the Ladies Aid, Alter Guild and earlier sang with the choir.
She loved entertaining, working puzzles framing them and displaying in her home. Her greatest joy was raising and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children; Ronald (Joan) Kammer, Kathryn (Richard) Brenner, Nancy (Dan) Bechler. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jeremy Kammer, Jodi Kraning, Daynia Sykora, Gerald and John Brenner, Jessica, Justin, Jennifer, and Janae McLane, step grandchildren; Richard and Audrey Johnson, 9 great-grandchildren, brother in law; C. Archie Kammer, sister in law; Florence Thoms, and many nieces and nephews, along with dear friend; Carol Shell.
She was preceded in death by her son; Randy Kammer, brother; Robert Thoms, and sister; Lucille Marker.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Visiting Angels and The Sanctuary at Mercy Village for their love and care. Also, to Joan Kammer, daughter in law for her love, care and devotion over the years.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday September 29 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, St.Clair. Visting hours will be Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to the service.
