Mr. Roy P. Vincent's Obituary
Roy P. Vincent, age 90, of St. Clair, Mich, formerly of Sturgis, died June 14, 2012. He was born January 18, 1922 in Falmouth, Mich. to the late Peter and Grace Vincent. On August 18, 1951 Mr. Vincent married Josephine Stayer in St. Anne Catholic Church, Cadillac, Mich. Mr. Vincent served with the U. S. Army during World War II and was part of the second wave after D-Day. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bronson, Mich. council.
He was a graduate of Ferris State University and later retired from the State of Michigan Department of Agriculture following 27 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Josephine Vincent, daughter and son in law; Bonnie and Joe Vito, grandchildren; Anthony, Nicholas and Gina Vito, niece; Mary Jo Vincent and nephew; George Fox. He preceded in death by a brother; Earl Vincent and sister; Geraldine Fox.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 18th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Sunday 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. John's Hospice.
