Rosemary A. Rood's Obituary
Rosemary A. Rood, age 98, of Marine City, passed away January 30, 2021. She was born July 4, 1922 in Marine City to the late Clement and Margaret DeLude. On October 10, 1942 Rosemary married James Rood. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Rosemary was a devout member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She loved many different crafts and was exceptional at all of them.
Rosemary is survived by her son, James (Linda) Rood of Virginia and daughter, Cindy (Fred) Smith of Fort Gratiot; son in law, Robert Wagner of Florida; grandchildren, Travis Wagner of Florida, Devon (John) Slovensky of Virginia, Alyssa (Ryan) Drake of Fort Gratiot and Corey Smith of Fort Gratiot and sister in law, Helen DeLude of Waterford.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Faith Ann Wagner; sisters, Catherine Etz and Ann Nichols and brothers, John DeLude and Bernard “Butch” DeLude.
A funeral mass will be Wednesday, February 3rd at 12:00 noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 at church prior to the mass. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Marine City. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Fr. Sadler Memorial Fund or American Cancer Society.
