Rosemary Hindson's Obituary
Rosemary Hindson, age 89, of Marine City, died December 13, 2015. Born April 10, 1926 in Marine City the youngest of seven children to the late Harold and Elsie Steinmetz.
Rosemary graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1944. She married Lawrence Hindson on August 26, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2000. Rosemary worked for Paul's Bakery in Marine City for over 20 years and was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. She was also an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her children; Beverly Hindson, IHM, Dennis (Jan) Hindson and Kathy Basnaw, grandchildren; Melissa Williams, Adam Kellerman, Eric Markel, Aaron Markel, Jennifer (Mark) Cani, Jason Hindson, and Patrick Hindson. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, brothers; George (Margaret) Steinmetz and James Steinmetz, sisters-in-law; Virginia and Shirley Steinmetz and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by brothers; Bob, Ed, Ken, and Charles Steinmetz.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Marine City. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Friday at church one hour prior to mass. A prayer service is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to wishes of the family.
