Rosella M. Yax's Obituary
Rosella M. Yax, age 86, of China Twp., died March 17, 2017. She was born December 8, 1930 in China Twp. to the late Alvin and Mary Kreusel.
On May 9, 1953 Rosella Kreusel married Mitch Yax in Marine City. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Throughout the years Rosella worked for Miller’s and the Detroit Gasket in Marine City. She was very active with the China Township Recreation Committee. She volunteered for many events the township would host and loved every minute of it. Rosella’s family will remember her as someone who never shied away from hard work. They will also never forget her love of gardening and her awesome apple pie.
She is survived by her children, Alvin Yax, Robert (Nancy) Yax, Andy (Sandy) Yax, Roseann (Ray) Durant and Lynnette (Gene) Moore; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sisters, Theresa Ann Brochart, Mary Sheal and Dolores Huber and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Resurrection will be Wednesday March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Interment will be in Balfour Cemetery, China Twp. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2 to 8 p.m. at Young Funeral Home and Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. at church prior to mass.
