Mrs. Rose C. Bezenah's Obituary
Rose C. Bezenah, age 103, of St. Clair, died March 8, 2014. She was born September 15, 1910 in Port Huron to the late Paul and Helena Kirsch.
On Februar 12, 1938 Rose married Louis Bezenah. He preceded her in death in 1976. Both Rose and her husband worked many years at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair since 1938 and was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella Drill Team.
She is survived by her children; David (Linda) Bezenah, Rosemarie (Isaac) Bezenah-Williams, Margaret Ann (John) Shinske and Nancy Lou Zimmer, sister in law, Pam Bezenah along with 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Rose was a loving mother, grandmother and known to all her great grandchildren as “Grandma Great”.
She was preceded in death by a son Lt. Donald A. Bezenah, sisters, Marie, Helen and Anna and a brother Frank.
Funeral services begin Wednesday March 12th at 9:15 a.m. with prayers at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home with a rosary recital at 6:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers are Andy, Todd and Tim Bezenah, John “Rob” and Mike Shinske and Loren Brooks.
Memorials are suggested to St. Clair County Sheriff Dept. Marine Division.
