Ronnie L. Minix's Obituary
Ronnie Minix, age 61, of St. Clair, passed away unexpectedly April 17, 2023. He was born on June 24, 1961 in LaPorte, Indiana to the late Prentis and Beverly Minix. Ronnie was raised in Dalton, GA. He also spent time in Florida before making his way to Michigan in 1998, where he settled in St. Clair and met Mary Anne Beauchamp in 2001 and married in November of 2003.
Ronnie held jobs at many local restaurants as a cook and manager. He most recently was the maintenance man at the St. Clair Plaza in downtown St. Clair. Where he met many friends and many St. Clair residents and would talk to everyone he saw around the plaza, he was one of a kind and a friend to all. Ronnie enjoyed listening and playing music, watching hockey and baseball, and spending summers by his pool and the “Tiki Mar Bar” in his yard with his wife, family, friends and dogs.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 19 ½ years, Mary Anne; son, Aaron (Laura) Minix; step children, Burt (Amber) Beauchamp, Scott (Jessica) Beauchamp, Laura (Nathan) LaPorte, Jeremy (Lindsey) Beauchamp; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Raymond Saylor, Brenda Stine, Kenneth Bell, Jeff Minix, Chris (Amanda) Minix; brother-in-law, Ed (Kathy) Fandrick, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Celebrtation of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Voyageur-Sports Bar, St. Clair. Cremation arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
