Ronald F. Schroeder's Obituary
Ronald F. Schroeder, 77, of Herron passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016, at home.
Ronald was born on May 28, 1938, in Marine City. On February 4, 1978, he married Beverly (Clark) Eddy. They resided in Emmett until retiring in 1993. Ronald worked for Chrysler for 38 ½ years as an engineer. He was a member of Emmett Lions Club and Thunder Bay Walleye Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Ron and his wife enjoyed and shared many various hobbies and activities throughout the years.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Beverly; 5 children, Ronnie (Pat) Schroeder, Cindy Gill, Penny Schroeder, Barbara Basney, Cheryl Montry; 2 stepchildren, David (Renee) Eddy, Pamela (Tim) Moore; daughter-in-law, Ann Schroeder; many grandchildren & great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Leslie (Margie) Schroeder, Jr., Sharon (Vern) Bickley, Denise Achatz; and brother-in-law, Steve Koryba.
Mr. Schroeder was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Bernice Schroeder; son David Schroeder; sisters, Janice Koryba, and Diane Lince.
Visitation will take place at the Young Funeral Home in St. Clair on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m. with Rev. Roland Troike officiating. Visitation will continue at the Bannan Funeral Home in Alpena on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of prayer service at 12 noon with Rev. Herb Kitzman officiating.
Interment: King Settlement Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena Cancer Center or Hospice of Michigan.
