Ronald James Leonard's Obituary
Ronald James Leonard, age 80, of East China Twp., passed away on February 25, 2022, peacefully with his family by his side.
Ron was born in Port Huron, February 9, 1942, to the late Oscar and Vivian (Spinner) Leonard. Ron was a graduate of Marine City High School in 1959, where he was the class president and drum major for the school band. Ron was often pulled from class to play his trumpet for taps at funerals.
Ron worked for the Detroit Edison for 35 years, retiring in 2001. He was an avid fisherman, skeet shooter and loved camping.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Linda Leonard; children, Michele Tatro (Earl Bennett), Michael (Kristie) Leonard, Stephanie Leonard and Ray Delano; grandchildren, David and Nick Tatro and Maxwell and Jack Leonard; great grandchildren, Zackary and Malea White; brother, Jack Leonard; sister, Judy Lester and his most beloved friend Lacy.
A funeral service will be held Saturday March 5th at 12:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours prior to service are 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
