With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Ronald Paul Kalich Sr., a man whose life was defined by unwavering love, quiet strength, and selfless devotion to his family.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Ron was the beloved son of Leonard John Kalich, Sr. and Virginia Angeline Kalich (nee Kinjorski)
Ron was the devoted husband of Michelle and the loving father of Ronald Jr. and Anthony, and proud grandfather of Adalyn and Connor.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard J Kalich, Sr and Virginia A. Kalich (nee Kinjorski), his brother Leonard (Skip) John Kalich Jr., Father-in-law Thomas Edward Stabinski, Brother-in-law(s) Kenneth Earl Jones, and Andrew Kaczmarczyk (Renee)
Ron is survived by his wife Michelle Jones, his sons, Ronald Kalich, Jr (Renee) and Anthony Jones- Kalich, Grandchildren, Adalyn and Connor Kalich, Sister(s) Patricia J Smith (John) and Renee M Kaczmarczyk (Andrew), Mother-in-law Rose Ann Stabinski, Sister-in-law(s) Debbie Tiseo, Kathy LaParl (Jim), Christine Sines, Brother-in-law(s) Don Jones, Earl Jones (Cindy), Bill Jones (Dawn) many loving nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends Dennis & Cathy Jagielski.
He dedicated his life to those he loved most. Through every season of life, whether marked by joy and success or by hardship and challenge, his family remained his greatest joy and priority. Through his actions, he consistently placed the needs of others before his own and offered support and unconditional love.
As a husband, his commitment never wavered. As a father and grandfather, he provided guidance, encouragement, and an example of integrity, work ethic and humor. As a cherished brother, he was a trusted friend, and a constant presence through life’s many ups and downs.
His legacy is not measured by material accomplishments, but by the countless lives he touched through his friendship, humor and quiet sacrifices. He taught those around him the true meaning of love, resilience, and putting his family above all else. His passion for hot rods and Harley’s led him to start Classy Chassis Collision that serviced his community for many years.
Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. May he rest in peace and the perpetual light shine upon him.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8 at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Saturday one hour prior to mass at church. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
