Romona Kotwas' Obituary
Romona L. Kotwas, age 79, formally of Newport Richey, FL, passed away June 14, 2009 at her home in Michigan after a short illness. She was born July 1, 1929 in Detroit.
Romona was a devout Catholic who took pride in her religion and is now with the Lord who guided her throughout her life.
Romona was a lady who loved animals, especially her Daschund, Dillon. Dillon was often referred to as one of her children.
Mrs. Kotwas is survived by her husband, Robert. Children; Mary Ann (Mike) Pionk, John C. (Judy Burkhardt) Papciak, Steve (Sue) Papciak. Grandchildren; Elizabeth “Libby” and Catherine “Bea” Pionk. Sisters; Camellia Rycerz-Fox and Trudy Wessel. Brother-in-law; Richie Kotwas. Mrs. Kotwas is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including a nephew, Robin Pearce, whom she held close to her heart.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Chester Papciak. Brothers; Ted, Delbert Nejmanowski, and Art Norman. Also a sister, Vici DuRussel.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, June 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:30am until time of Mass. Memorials are suggested to the Michigan Humane Society. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Clair immediately following the Mass.
