Roland H. Graves' Obituary
Roland H. Graves, age 89, of Marine City, died August 23, 2017. He was born April 20, 1928 in Marine City to the late Hubert and Viola Graves. On July 31, 1960 Roland married Emilia “Dolly” in Marine City. She preceded him in death in 1999.
Roland served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He retired from the Detroit Gasket following 39 years of employment. Roland loved attending all of the Marine City Football Games. Regardless of weather, rain or shine he was a loyal fan. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing in his spare time.
Roland is survived by his son, Michael Graves, his dog, Trigger and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda (Walter) Rogers and Ottolyn (Donald) Cohrs.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.
