Roger Wilson Shelton's Obituary
Roger Wilson Shelton, age 89, of St. Clair, passed away July 16, 2018. He was born August 22, 1928.
Roger retired from the Detroit Edison following 40 years of service. His favorite pastime was woodworking. His family describes him as an old fashioned master craftsman who had a keen eye for even the smallest details.
Roger is the best beloved husband of 70 years to Irene Shelton and cherished father of Shawn Shelton (Philip Michael Cooper) and Rebecca (David) Self. Also the loving grandfather of Andrew Self and Bryan (Aemi) Self and step brother of Sandy Julian, Iris Piskor and Gale Shelton.
He was predeceased by his father and step mother, Roger and Mary Shelton and brothers, Lee and Clayton Shelton.
Roger will be remembered for his honest, kind and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
