Rodney Ritter Jr.'s Obituary
Rodney Ritter Jr, age 55, of Casco Township, passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Rodney was born September 25, 1968 in Mt. Clemens to Rodney Sr. and Judith Ritter.
On August 10, 1991, Rodney married Nancy DeMar and they enjoyed 32 years of marriage. Rodney loved anything outdoors and was blessed to be able to both work and play outdoors. As a skilled equipment operator Rodney worked for 39 years in the construction and demolition industry. Most recently he was employed with Independence Excavating. When not working, Rodney enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in the yard. A perfect day for Rodney was one that included his family and friends, especially his grandson. Rodney’s quiet warm presence will be dearly missed by all his family, but never forgotten.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Ritter; beloved children, Ashley (Brian) Vallee and Kyle Ritter; cherished grandson, Hayden Vallee; father, Rodney Ritter Sr.; sisters, Teresa (Kenny) Volkman, Janice (Dan) Schweihofer and Karen (Shawn) Mow; father-in-law, Kenneth (Carol); mother-in-law, Roberta DeMar and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Ritter, on February 21, 2024.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 8th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
