Robert "Bob" Yax's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Yax, age 63, of China Twp., passed away unexpectedly October 20, 2020. He was born March 30, 1957 to the late Mitchell and Rosella Yax.
Bob enjoyed working in his barn and working on old classic muscle cars. He treasured his hunting trips up north each year with his father and other family members, but spending time with his grandchildren was what he cherished most.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Yax; daughters, Mary (Mark) Ashbaugh and Carrie (Daniel) Collins; grandchildren, Joshua Lemieux and Sophia Ashbaugh; siblings, Alvin Yax, Andy (Sandy) Yax, Roseanne (Ray) Durant and Lynnette (Gene) Moore.
He was predeceased by his nephew, Jeff Durant.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday October 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, OLR Parish, Marine City. Interment will be in Balfour Cemetery, China Twp. Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at church.
