Robert Anthony Ward's Obituary
Robert Anthony Ward, age 71, of Marine City, passed away February 2, 2025. Rob was born on August 23, 1953 to the late Robert and Alice Ward. Rob was the proud founder of Flight Mold in 1984, and after 36 years of success retired in 2020. Rob was a licensed pilot, and found joy in exploring with his planes and helicopters. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Rob enjoyed exploring the open road. Upon retirement, Rob found himself a new passion in boating. Time on the water allowed Rob to spend quality hours with friends and family. Throughout his lifetime of hobbies and adventures, his biggest source of enjoyment was the time spent with those closest to him. Rob always had a true sense of love for the time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. Rob will be remembered as a hard-working, ambitious man, who took pride in being a provider for those he loved. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Robert Ward, Kristin (Jonathan) Sherman, Alana Ward, Armanda Robb; grandchildren, Brendan, Dominic, Payton, Mickenna, Lucas, Olive, Henry, Jacob; great grandson, Hudson; sibling Barbara Browne, Lynn (Frank) Sparger, Kathy (Bill) Warner; his faithful companion, Bailey, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Janet Verellen.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 3:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family. To leave a message of comfort, visit www.youngcolonial.com
