Robert E. Murray Sr.'s Obituary
Robert E. Murray Sr., age 77, of China Twp., passed away on February 20, 2023. He was born on May 23, 1945, in Detroit, to the late Fred and Nora Murray. He married Kathryn A. Miller, on September 25, 1965. Robert served honorably in the United States Army. He loved to watch the Detroit Tigers and Nascar. He was considered an amateur groundskeeper, because he took great pride in maintaining his lawn.
Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathryn; children, Kimberly Murray, Rebecca (Daniel) Billmeyer, Robert (Kim) Murray Jr., Todd (Amy) Murray, and Aaron (Cindy) Murray, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nita Jukuri, Carol Colett, Paul (Penny) Murray, and Gordon Murray, along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, James and Gary Murray; brothers-in-law, Leroy Colett, El Jukuri, and best friend, Bill Davis.
A memorial service will take place Sunday, March 19th at 1:30 p.m. followed by military honors at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
